Maybe I'll write a play, a descriptor of these days. A 21st century Shakespearean kind of 'D'ragedy.

The main character could be red and round. A buffoon who would emulate the bleak but absolute characteristics of all soulless traitors and scurge: Treachery, Faithlessness, Disloyalty, Betrayal.

As a child they would have been led to the well to drink drink drink, but never told the story of who dug that hole or to be grateful for the water. They would have been allowed to pick all of the fruit, but not taught to mind the taproot or to nurture the seeds and pits that might grow into new and more plentiful trees. They would have been allowed to do the wrong thing over and over and over again, but never held to account. They would have been a rotten child who grew into an even more rotten adult child.

Maybe I'll write this play.
